Meet the woman behind Shake Up Talent
Having faced the challenges of self-belief, people pleasing, and work-life balance in my career, I know the struggles many women go through. Now, all my energy goes into helping others create more positive experiences - enabling women to excel in their careers, lead with confidence, and make a meaningful impact in the world.
My Background
Hi, I'm Phaedra, founder of Shake Up Talent and, probably like you, I've had a an interesting journey to get to where I am today.
I live in Oxfordshire with my husband, two adult children and of course, my dog Eva who you will likely see in most of my social media posts (she is an excellent therapy dog!).
I live for the outdoors and exercise; some people love meditation or journaling, I love lifting weights, walking the dog, cycling with friends and lots of coffee!! Don't be surprised if some of our conversations involve a walk or two!
I have held various HR leadership roles across a variety of different sized organisations and industries. I've also worked in consultancy within Professional Services. I dabbled in being self-employed when my children were younger and failed, set up, led functions and thrived, been made redundant twice and struggled with self-belief. Time has taught me a lot but working with my own coach was the catalyst for really finding my purpose and the confidence to pursue something that really matters to me.
My Mission
I founded Shake Up Talent to do the work I love - to help people realise their potential, excel in their careers and truly thrive.
This mission is personal. I want my daughter - and future generations - to step into a world of work that values their talent and ambitions without the battles so many of us have faced.
My experiences, both professional and personal, have shaped an approach to development and coaching that creates real, lasting change.
This is more than a coaching and talent management business. It's a unique combination of consultancy experience, coaching expertise and personal purpose - and I take every client's success personally.
